Reserv by Tambourine is a digital marketing and direct booking platform that integrates with RMS, enabling two-way synchronisation of rates, availability, and reservations between your RMS database and the Reserv platform.

Overview

The Reserv by Tambourine integration connects RMS with Tambourine's digital marketing and direct booking engine, Reserv. Once activated in RMS, the Reserv by Tambourine team uses the supplied RMS Client ID and Webservice Password to establish the connection from their side and configure data flow between the two systems.

Once active, the integration provides a two-way data exchange: RMS pushes real-time rates, availability, and inventory (ARI) to Reserv, while Reserv sends new, modified, and cancelled reservations back into RMS.

Tambourine specialises in hotel digital marketing solutions, and Reserv is their direct booking platform. The integration is designed to support high-volume direct bookings through an occupancy-based pricing model, keeping your rates and availability in sync without manual intervention.

RMS remains the system of record for all reservations, guest profiles, and rate management. 

Before you begin

Before connecting Reserv by Tambourine, make sure you have an active or planned subscription with Reserv by Tambourine, access in RMS to activate modules from the Module Market and submit a support ticket to RMS Customer Support.

Functionality

The Reserv by Tambourine integration supports the following functions across reservations, guest profiles, and rate management.

Reservations

• Create new reservations
• Modify existing reservations
• Cancel reservations
• Post deposit payment information
• Receive and process booking updates in real time

Guest Profiles

• Search and retrieve existing guest profiles from RMS
• Create new guest profiles automatically when a booking is submitted

Rates & Availability

• Receive and use RMS rates, availability, and restrictions through ARI Push.
• Process rates using an occupancy-based pricing model.
• Apply availability restrictions (minimum stay, maximum stay, closed on arrival, closed on departure, stop sell) from RMS to the Reserv booking engine.

Things to Be Aware Of

• Reserv by Tambourine is a partner-built integration, it is developed and maintained by Tambourine using the RMS REST API. For integration-specific issues, contact Tambourine support directly (see Support & Contact Information below).
• Room types must be manually mapped between RMS and Reserv during the initial setup process.
• The integration does not support financial transaction processing beyond posting deposit information provided by Reserv.

Integration Workflow

Once the integration is active, data flows between RMS and Reserv as follows:

• Reserv retrieves real-time rates, availability, and restrictions from RMS via ARI Push.
• When a guest makes a booking through Reserv, the reservation is pushed directly into RMS.
• Any updates or cancellations made in Reserv are automatically reflected in RMS.
• RMS continues to push ARI updates to Reserv on an ongoing basis, ensuring the booking engine always shows current availability and pricing.
• Deposit information captured by Reserv is posted to the corresponding reservation in RMS.

For example, when a guest books directly through a Reserv-powered website, the reservation flows back into RMS in near real time.

How to Connect Reserv by Tambourine

1. Activate Reserv by Tambourine Integration Module
   Go to the Module Market and activate the Reserv by Tambourine integration module.

2. Request API Credentials
   Once the module has been activated, submit a support ticket to the RMS Customer Support team to request the following:

   1. RMS Client ID

   2. Webservice Password

3. Complete Setup
   Provide the credentials to the Reserv by Tambourine team to complete configuration and testing.
    

Data Sync

When the connection first goes live, a 365-day availability and rate sync will automatically begin.
