Information on using RMS Help Centre articles, permissions and terminology.
Â
Overview
Every property is unique, and so is your experience with RMS!
Since RMS9+ is highly configurable, the Labels and screen layouts you see in the Help Centre may differ slightly from your RMS. If something doesn’t look the same, you might need to explore a bit to find what the article is referencing.
Â
PermissionsÂ
Some features or options might not be available to you based on your access level. For instance, your manager might have access to perform refunds, while you don’t. If there are features you’d like to use but can’t currently access, we recommend reaching out to your System Administrator for assistance.
Â
TerminologyÂ
RMS9+ is used across a wide variety of properties, all around the world, so we aim to use the most common terminology throughout these articles.
For example:
We may use the terms "Category" and "Area," but your property might refer to them as Rental Types, Apartments, Cabins, or Sites.
Other examples include:

Finding your Labels
You can find your labels in the side menu:
- By Searching for Labels
- Setup > Property Options > Labels.Â
Remember, you may not have access to this function, and we recommend reaching out to your System Administrator for assistance.
Â
Modules
Some functionality in RMS may be a part of a Module. A module is a function or utility that can be added to RMS and needs to be activated before it can be used.
Some modules are Free, and others can be purchased.Â
Available Modules are found in the Module Market in the side menu and are only accessible to the System Administrator. Once a Module is activated, access can be given to users via the Security Profiles.Â
