Sfty by Resideo is an in-room technology integration that uses RMS reservation and area status data to automatically manage thermostat schedules in connected units.

Overview

Sfty Control is a management platform for multifamily buildings that monitors IoT devices, including thermostats, smoke detectors, and water leak detectors. The integration with RMS enables automatic occupancy-based temperature management. Thermostat schedules adjust when Areas become occupied or vacant based on reservation and area status data received from RMS.

How it works

When a new Area is mapped in Sfty Control, an initial sync loads all future confirmed reservations for that area. Following the initial sync, reservation and area status changes are sent from RMS to Sfty, via API. Sfty adjusts thermostat schedules based on three occupancy events: a configurable time prior to arrival, check-in, and check-out.

RMS setup requirements

Sfty by Resideo will guide customers through the onboarding process, including all required setup and Area mapping.

During initial property setup, Areas (rooms or cabins) must be mapped within the Sfty Control platform to the corresponding RMS areas before the integration becomes active for that property.

How to Connect

1. Activate Sfty by Resideo integration Module
   Go to the Module Market and activate the Sfty by Resideo integration module.

2. Request API Credentials
   Once the module has been activated, Submit a Support Ticket to the RMS Customer Support team to request the following:

   1. RMS Client ID

   2. Webservice Password

3. Complete Setup
   Provide the credentials to the Sfty by Resideo team to complete configuration and testing.
