How to setup the Wild Energy integration with RMS
Overview
This implementation guide walks through the complete first-time setup of the Wild Energy integration with RMS.
Wild Energy provides smart energy monitoring and control solutions for the recreational vehicle industry, campgrounds, and marinas.
The integration allows RMS to gather data directly from Wild Energy's smart meters, eliminating the need for manual meter readings on-site.
Completing the steps in this guide will enable your property to automatically collect meter data and charge guests based on their electricity, water, or gas consumption.
Prerequisites
Before beginning setup, ensure the following are in place:

Create General Ledger Account Codes
A General Ledger Account Code (GL Acc Code) determines where utility charge revenue will be reported in financial reports.
Create a GL Acc Code for each utility type metered at your property (e.g., Electricity, Water, Gas).
Create a Sundry Charge
A Sundry Charge is any good or service not included in the reservation price.
Create a Sundry Charge for each type of utility meter (e.g., Electricity Charge, Water Charge, Gas Charge).
Configure Meter Rates
Meter rates define how guests are charged for utility consumption. Fee structures are typically determined by local or state government authorities.
Configure Meter Rates for each type of utility meter tariff.
Standard Meter Rates
Standard meter rates refer to charges based on guest usage.
Daily Allowance Meter Rates
Under a daily allowance charge style, the guest receives a set number of kilowatt hours per day at a base rate. Usage exceeding the daily allowance is billed at a higher rate.
RMS uses the previous and current read dates to calculate a daily average.
Additional Meter Fees
Properties may choose to charge guests an additional fee alongside the meter rate, such as a Meter Reading Fee.
Configure Utility Statement Due Date (Optional)
The Utility Statement can include a "Date Payable" that calculates a set number of days after the statement is generated.
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Options.
