This article describes the New Company Report, which lists the Companies set up on the database along with their contact details, the date each Company record was created, and the User who created it.
Overview
The New Company Report lists each Company on the database as a single row, showing the Company name, address, contact details, the date the Company record was created, and the RMS User who created it.
The report can list every Company, or only the Companies created within a selected date range. It can also be limited to Companies created by specific Users. It reports on Company records themselves, not on reservations or revenue, so it returns the same rows regardless of trading activity.
Reception, reservations and sales staff typically run it to review recently added Companies and to check that Company contact details have been filled in correctly.

Use Cases
- Review newly added Companies - at the end of the week, reception runs the report for the last seven days to see which Companies were added and by whom.
- Audit Company data quality - sales runs the report for all Companies to find records with a missing contact name, phone number or email address before a mail out.
- Check a User's Company entries - a manager selects a single User to list only the Companies that User created, then sorts by Date Made to see them in the order they were added.
How to Access
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Statistics > New Company.
Report Options
The report options below control which Companies are included and the order the rows are listed in.

Please Note! The date range field sits under Show All Company Created Within and is ignored while Show All Company is selected.
Column Headers
The columns below appear on the report output. Every column is read from the Company record, apart from Date Made and User, which are described under Data Sources & Calculations.

Data Sources & Calculations
Company details
The Company, Address, Contact Name, Position, Phone, Fax and Company Email columns are all read directly from the Company record at Setup > Company. The report performs no calculation on them, so a blank cell means the field is empty on the Company record rather than missing from the report. To correct a blank value, edit the Company at Setup > Company and re-run the report.
Date Made and User
Date Made is the date the Company record was created, and User is the RMS User who created it. These two columns are what the Show All Company Created Within and User report options filter on:
- Show All Company Created Within compares the selected date range against Date Made, so only Companies with a Date Made inside the range are listed. When this option is used, the report output shows the selected range as a Date line beneath the report title.
- User compares the selected Users against the User column, so only Companies created by those Users are listed.
The User list contains the RMS Users set up on the database.
The Audit Trail Report also records the date, time and User for the addition of a Company, and includes changes and deletions that this report does not cover.
Please Note! This report lists Company records only. A Company appears whether or not it has any reservations or revenue, so it is not a measure of trading activity.
