Information on using the Performance Report in RMS.
Overview
The Performance report provides a statistical summary of reservation activity by accommodation category, including occupancy counts, guest nights, and average revenue per booking for a selected date range.
Use this report to understand how each category is performing across a period - how many reservations are in-house, how many guests are staying, and what revenue is being generated per booking.
How to Access
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Statistics > Performance.
Report Options

Filters which reservation statuses are included in the results. Select any combination:

Filters reservations by booking type. All Reservation includes all bookings by default. Use the other options to narrow results to a specific type:

| Category Class | Dropdown | Both | Filters results to a specific category class. Options: Both (accommodation and facility categories), Facility only, or Accommodation only. |
| View By | Dropdown | Category | Controls how results are grouped. Each row in the report represents one entity of the selected type. Options: Category, Reservation Source, or Company. |

Controls how reservations that span the date range boundary are counted:

| Include Zero | Checkbox | Checked | When checked, includes rows in the report even if all values for that category are zero. Uncheck to hide categories with no activity in the selected period. |

Report Columns
The report produces one row per View By entity (Category, Reservation Source, or Company depending on the selection). Columns are grouped into two sections: Total values for the period, and Average values per booking. A Grand Total row appears at the end of the report.

| Res That Cross Date Range | Total | The total number of reservations that overlap with the selected date range, including reservations that started before or end after the range. |
| No of New Arrival | Total | The number of reservations with an arrival date that falls within the selected date range. |
| Adult Nights | Total | The total number of adult bed-nights across all reservations in the date range (adults per reservation multiplied by nights within the range). |
| Children Nights | Total | The total number of child bed-nights across all reservations in the date range. |
| Duration Nights | Average | The average length of stay in nights per reservation. |
| No of Adult | Average | The average number of adults per reservation. |
| No of Childrens | Average | The average number of children per reservation. |
| Total of Persons | Average | The average total number of guests (adults and children) per reservation. |
| Tariff/Booking | Average | The average accommodation rate per reservation. |
| Revenue/Booking | Average | The average total revenue per reservation for the period. |
Related Reports
- Performance II Report - tracks performance by subject (Company, Travel Agent, Booking Source, Market Segment) with monthly trend lines and optional year-on-year comparison.
- Performance III Report - summarises reservation activity and financial performance by Company, Travel Agent, Booking Source, Rate Type, or Category.
