Performance III Report

This article describes the Performance III report, which displays accommodation and revenue performance metrics grouped by a selected entity such as Company, Travel Agent, or Booking Source for a chosen date range.

 

Overview

The Performance III report is an Operational Revenue report that summarises reservation activity and financial performance across a chosen subject - Company, Travel Agent, Reservation Type, Booking Source, Rate Type, or Category.

For each entity, the report shows total reservations, nights stayed, accommodation revenue, food and beverage revenue, other revenue, average daily rate, cancelled reservations, occupancy percentage, and percentage of rack rate achieved.

Use it to compare how different booking sources, corporate accounts, or rate types are contributing to revenue over a selected period.

✒ Please Note: As an Operational Revenue report, the figures in Performance III will differ from Financial Revenue reports such as the Charges report or Night Audit reports. See Operational Revenue for an explanation of the difference.

 

Use Cases

  • Corporate account review - run the report by Company to see which corporate clients generated the most nights, revenue, and how close they came to rack rate.
  • Booking source analysis - switch View By to Booking Source to compare direct bookings against OTA channels across the same date range.
  • Rate type performance - use View By Rate Type to see which rate types drove the most occupancy and what average daily rate each achieved.
  • Travel agent performance - view by Travel Agent to support commission negotiations or identify underperforming agent relationships.

 

How to Access

Go to Reports > Management > Statistics > Performance III.

 

Report Options

★ Tip: Report build screens default to a common use configuration, and selections can be made as required.
Report Option Type Default Description
Date Date range Today The date range used to filter reservations. The date field determines which reservations are included based on the radio option selected below.
Reservation In House Between Radio Off When selected, includes reservations that are in-house (checked in) during the date range.
Reservation Arriving Between Radio Off When selected, includes reservations with an arrival date within the date range.
Reservation Departing Between Radio On When selected, includes reservations with a departure date within the date range. This is the default selection.
View By Dropdown Company

Controls what entity each row in the report represents. The first column heading and the Group By options change to match the selection. Options:

  • Company - one row per Company linked to reservations.
  • Travel Agent - one row per Travel Agent.
  • Reservation Type - one row per Reservation Type.
  • Booking Source - one row per Booking Source.
  • Rate Type - one row per Rate Type.
  • Category - one row per accommodation Category.
Group By Dropdown No Grouping

Groups rows and adds subtotals. The available options depend on the View By selection. For example, when View By is Company, the options are:

  • No Grouping - all rows in a single list (default).
  • Property then Company - grouped by Property, with Company rows within each property.
  • Company then Property - grouped by Company, with Property subtotals within each company.

The same two-level grouping options are available for each View By entity.
Sort By Dropdown Revenue

Controls the order of rows within each group. Options:

  • Revenue - sorted from highest to lowest accommodation revenue (default).
  • Room Nights - sorted from highest to lowest number of nights.
Room Stats Dropdown On

Controls how accommodation categories are treated in occupancy calculations based on their Room Stats flag in setup. Options:

  • On - includes only categories flagged as Room Stats in occupancy calculations (default).
  • Off - excludes Room Stats categories from occupancy calculations.
  • Ignore - includes all categories regardless of their Room Stats flag.
Category Multi-select All Limits the report to reservations in the selected accommodation Categories. All categories are selected by default.

 

Report Columns

The report produces one row per View By entity. The entity name appears in the first column (labelled Company, Travel Agent, Booking Source, etc. depending on the View By selection). Rows are ordered by the Sort By option and grouped if a Group By is selected. A Grand Total row appears at the end.

Column Description
[View By entity] The name of the entity being reported on (Company, Travel Agent, Booking Source, Reservation Type, Rate Type, or Category, depending on the View By selection). Reservations with no entity linked appear as "No [Entity]" (for example, "No Company").
Nights The total number of room nights for reservations linked to this entity within the date range.
Total Res The total number of reservations linked to this entity within the date range.
Accom Rev The total accommodation revenue generated by reservations linked to the entity.
F&B Revenue The total food and beverage revenue charged against reservations linked to the entity.
Other Revenue Total revenue from sundry charges other than accommodation and food and beverage.
ADR Average Daily Rate - the average accommodation revenue per occupied room night for the entity.
Cancelled Res The number of reservations linked to the entity that were cancelled within the date range.
Occ % The occupancy percentage achieved by reservations linked to this entity, calculated against available room nights for the period. Affected by the Room Stats option.
% of Rate The percentage of the standard rack rate that was actually charged, averaged across all reservations for the entity. A value of 100% means full rack rate was charged; a lower value indicates discounts were applied.
