The Production Report shows the nights and revenue produced by each Company or Travel Agent, broken down by month for a selected period.
Overview
The Production Report summarises how much business each Company or Travel Agent has produced over a selected period. For each Company or Travel Agent it shows the number of nights sold and the revenue for each General Ledger Account Code Grouping, laid out as a month-by-month matrix with a yearly total.
The report is generated for either Company or Travel Agent production, grouped by property. It is typically run by revenue and management staff to review account performance and identify seasonal trends.
Use Cases
- Review annual account production - see a Company's or Travel Agent's nights and revenue for each month of the year in a single view.
- Compare Company and Travel Agent contribution - run the report by Company, then by Travel Agent, to see which accounts drive the most revenue.
- Spot seasonality - the month-by-month columns highlight the busy and quiet periods for each account.
How to Access
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Statistics > Production.
Report Options

Column Headers
The report groups production by property, then by Company or Travel Agent (depending on the option selected). For each Company or Travel Agent, a month-by-month matrix uses the following columns.

| Measure (leftmost column) | The production measure for the Company or Travel Agent. Rows are Nights, one row for each GL Acc Code Grouping with data, and a Total row (see the measures below). |
| Jan to Dec | The value of the measure in each calendar month within the selected date range. |
| Total | The total for the measure across all months in the selected period. |
The measures listed down the left of each block are:

| GL Acc Code Grouping rows | One row for each GL Acc Code Grouping (for example, Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Expenses, Miscellaneous, Tours), showing the revenue posted to that Grouping. The rows shown depend on the Groupings selected and the property's GL setup. |
| Total | The sum of the revenue rows for the Company or Travel Agent for the month and for the period. |
Data Sources & Calculations
Nights and revenue
Nights is the number of nights sold attributed to the Company or Travel Agent in the month. The revenue rows are the charges posted for the period, grouped by General Ledger Account Code Grouping. Only the Groupings selected in the report options are shown.
Company vs Travel Agent
The Company / Travel Agent option determines whether production is attributed to the reservation's Company or its Travel Agent. Run the report twice, once for each, to compare the two views.
