Information on configuring and using a Flat Amount Discount in RMS.

Overview

Flat Amount Discounts can be used to reduce the price of a Rate or Sundry Charge by a predefined value. 

The Total Rate includes the Base Rate, Additionals, Packages, Derived Rate Adjustments and Dynamic Pricing.

Additionals are the fees setup for extra guests on a reservation.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Discounts.

1. Select Add.
   
2. Enter a Description.
3. Select the GL Acc Code.
   (Optional) Select the Grouping.
   (Optional) Enter the Length of Stay Restrictions.
4. Select the Discount Type Amount.
5. Enter the Amount in Options
6. Select Save.
   
    
7. Select the Discount Access and choose 'Ok'.
   
    
8. Navigate to the Property/Category tab.
9. Select the Property.
   (Optional) Select the Category Grouping.
10. Select the Categories.
11. Select Save\Exit.
    (Optional) Navigate to the Validation Options tab and click Add if needing to limit when the Discount will be available.
