Information on configuring and using a Buy One Get One Free discount in RMS.
Overview
Discounts can be used in RMS to reduce the Rate or Sundry Charge price by a predetermined value or calculation.
BOGO (Buy One Get One) Discounts can be setup to provide Stay & Pay promotions at the Property.
✎ Please Note: The free night in a BOGO deal is based on the lowest nightly rate in the reservation, not a specific night.
For example, in a Stay 3, Pay 2 offer with rates of $200, $180, and $150, the discount is $150. Nights beyond the deal, like a 4th night, are excluded.
If the deal repeats (e.g., 6 nights), the second discount applies to the lowest rate from nights 4 to 6.

Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Discounts.
- Select Add.
- Enter the Description.
- Select a General Ledger Account Code.
(Optional) Select a Grouping.
(Optional) Enter the Length of Stay Restrictions. - Select the Discount Type BOGO.
- Enter the Paid Nights as Buy and the Free Nights as Get.
- Enter the Number of Cycles.
- Select Save.
- Select the Discount Access and click Apply.
- Navigate to the Property/Category tab.
- Select the Property.
(Optional) Select the Category Grouping. - Select the Categories.
- Select Save\Exit.
(Optional) Navigate to the Validation Options tab and click Add if needing to limit when the Discount will be available.
