Information on the integration between RMS and Pricepoint, including how to activate the module, request API credentials, and complete the connection setup.
Overview
Pricepoint is an AI-powered revenue management partner that automatically adjusts room rates in real time based on demand, booking trends, local events, and competitor pricing. Once activated in RMS, the Pricepoint team uses the supplied RMS Client ID and Webservice Password to establish the connection from their side and configure data flow between the two systems.
The goal is to ensure that a property is always offering the right price at the right moment, without requiring hotel managers to manually review and update rates.
When connected to RMS, Pricepoint reads live availability, rate, and reservation data from the property and pushes optimised price recommendations back into RMS. This allows properties to maintain competitive, data-driven pricing while continuing to manage day-to-day operations within RMS.
The integration uses the RMS REST API for all data exchange.
Typical Customer Profile
Pricepoint is designed for independently managed properties and privately held property groups, including hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, and motels. Properties typically range from 10 to 350 rooms or beds, operate on a cloud-based property management system, and maintain a presence on Online Travel Agents (OTAs).
While the size of the property is not the key qualifier, properties with more units tend to see a more immediate impact from AI-driven dynamic pricing.
Supported Functionality
When connected to RMS, Pricepoint supports:
- AI-driven dynamic pricing based on demand, booking trends, local events, and competitor data
- Automated rate adjustments pushed back to RMS via the REST API
- Reading of live availability so that pricing decisions reflect current inventory
- Reading of new, modified, and cancelled reservations for pricing intelligence and reporting
- Reporting dashboards that help properties review performance, pricing decisions, and revenue outcomes
How the Integration Works
- Pricepoint securely connects to RMS using the RMS REST API.
- During onboarding, Pricepoint loads the property's room types, rate plans, and historical booking data to train the AI pricing model.
- Once live, Pricepoint reads real-time availability, rate, and reservation updates from RMS.
- The Pricepoint AI calculates optimised price recommendations and pushes rate adjustments back into RMS via the REST API.
- Property users continue to manage reservations, guests, and transactions within RMS as normal.
What the Integration Enables
With Pricepoint connected to RMS, properties can expect:
- Automated, real-time rate optimisation without manual rate updates
- Pricing that responds to demand, booking pace, local events, and competitor rates
- Visibility of pricing performance and revenue outcomes through Pricepoint reports
- Reduced time spent on manual rate management, allowing staff to focus on guest experience
