Activate and setup the Guest Rewards Loyalty by Points module in RMS.
Overview
Guest Loyalty by Points (also referred to in RMS as Guest Rewards – Loyalty by Points) is an optional module that offers a loyalty points program managed within RMS.
The loyalty program is a points system that can have point accrual, redemption, and depreciation tailored to suit the property’s requirements.
Guests can be enrolled in the loyalty program:
Directly in RMS on their Guest Portal or Reservation, or
By the guests themselves via the RMS Booking Engine or Guest Portal (for supported flows).
Guests will accrue points for charges where the allocated General Ledger Account Codes are set to be included in Loyalty Calculation, and the Bill To option on the account is 'Guest'.
Loyalty reward points are not earned on accounts paid by a Company or Travel Agent.
Reward Levels are calculated based on point accrual within the past 12 months.

Blackout dates or Promotion periods can be added to:
Disable point accrual and redemption, or
Reward loyalty with more points than normal.
Points Redemption
Guests can redeem their points for the prescribed dollar value to pay for their reservation through RMS, either via the Guest Portal or directly in RMS on their Reservation Account.
In the Guest Portal, guests can choose to 'Redeem Points' if the property does not support Guest Portal Payments.
If the property does support Guest Portal Payments, guests can complete split payments using both Credit Card and Point Redemption.
Guests can redeem their points for the prescribed dollar value to pay for their reservation through RMS, either via the Guest Portal or directly in RMS on their Reservation Account.
In the Guest Portal, guests can choose to 'Redeem Points' if the property does not support Guest Portal Payments.
If the property does support Guest Portal Payments, guests can complete split payments using both Credit Card and Point Redemption.
Setup Requirements
The following setup is required to use Guest Loyalty by Points in RMS:
- Unassigned Credit Note for Guest Loyalty Credits.
- Form Letter and/or SMS for sign-up communications.
- Daily Password for Module Configuration
- Module Activation.
- Module Configuration.
Module Activation
In the RMS side menu, go to the Module Market.
- Select 'Available'
- Select 'All Properties'
All Properties must be selected for the Loyalty by Points module. - Search for 'Loyalty by Points'
- Select the toggle on the Guest Rewards by Points Module.
- Read the Terms & Conditions.
- Select 'Activate Guest Rewards by Points'.
- Navigate to the Activated Page
- Search for 'Loyalty by Points'
- Click on the icon on the Guest Loyalty by Points tile
- You will be prompted to enter a Daily Password
Please contact the RMS Customer Care Team for the Daily Password.
- Enter the Campaign Name.
This is the name of your Loyalty Program - Enter the Loyalty Program Description.
- Select a Depreciation Type.
- Enter the Points Earned Per Dollar.
Lowest Value is 1 - Enter the Points Redeemed Per Dollar.
Only 2 decimal places are recognized - Enter a Sign-Up Bonus (Optional).
- Select Save/Exit.

Log out of RMS and log back in to activate the Loyalty Program
Configure General Ledger & Property Settings
- Select the General Ledger Account Codes to be included in Loyalty Calculation.
Any Charges linked to a GL Acc Code with this option selected will be included in the Rewards Calculations.
- Setup an Unassigned Credit Note for Point Redemption.
One can be created for All Properties or you can create one for each property.
- In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.
- Select the 'Edit' icon on an existing Property.
- Navigate to the 'Guest Rewards' tab.
- Enter the Days After Departure for Point Accumulation.
- Select the Unassigned Credit Note for Point Redemption.
- Select Save/Exit.
Optional Configuration
- Setup Black Out Dates (Optional).
RMS side menu > Guest Rewards > Black Out
- Setup Reward Levels (Optional).
RMS side menu > Guest Rewards > Reward Levels
- Setup Promotion Dates (Optional).
RMS side menu > Guest Rewards > Promotion
- Setup Depreciation Schedule (Optional).
RMS side menu > Guest Rewards > Depreciation
