How to Redeem Guest Loyalty Points on a Reservation account in RMS.
Overview
Guest Loyalty by Points is an optional module that offers a loyalty points program, which can be managed within RMS.
The loyalty program is a points system that can have point accrual, redemption, and depreciation tailored to suit the property's requirements.
Guests can be enrolled in the Guest Rewards program within RMS or enrol themselves on the RMS Booking Engine or in the Guest Portal.
Guests will accrue points for charges where the allocated General Ledger Account Codes are set to be included in Loyalty Calculation and the Bill To option on the account is 'Guest'.
★ Tip: The Redeem Points option will only display if there are Reward Points on the Guest Profile available to be redeemed.
Guide
Go to the Reservation Account where you wish to use the Guest's Loyalty Points
- Select the 'Receipt' menu dropdown.
- Select 'Redeem Points'.
The number in brackets is the number of points available
- This is the Total Points the guest has accrued and the Amount that they convert to.
- Enter the Amount to Redeem in either Points or Monetary value.
If a Monetary value is entered, the Points to Redeem are automatically calculated, and vice versa. - Optional: Change the Sundry Charge/Credit Note used for the redemption.
- Optional: Enter a Comment.
- Select 'Apply/Exit'.
- The Guest Reward Point redemption will apply to the account.
