Overview
Depreciation Types determine the expiry of points when using the Guest Loyalty by Points module in RMS.
Guest Rewards is an optional module that provides a loyalty points program that can be managed in RMS.
The loyalty program is a points system that can have point accrual, redemption, and depreciation tailored to suit the property's requirements.
Guests can be enrolled into the Guest Rewards program in RMS or enrol themselves on the RMS Booking Engine or in the Guest Portal.
The following Depreciation Types are available when using the Guest Loyalty by Points module.
| Depreciation Type | Description |
|---|---|
| No Depreciation | Guest Reward Points will never expire. |
| Per Transaction | 50% of Guest Reward Points earned will expire one year from the date of the transaction where the points were originally accrued. |
| Last Transaction | 50% of the total balance of Guest Rewards Points earned will expire one year from the date of the last transaction posted for this Guest in RMS. |
Setup
In the side menu of RMS, go to the Module Market.
- Select the Module Type 'Activated Modules'.
- Select 'Setup' on the Guest Loyalty by Points tile.
- Enter a Campaign Name (If a Campaign Name already exists, this step can be skipped).
- Select a Depreciation Type.
- Select 'Save/Exit'.
