This article describes the Occupancy Report grouped by Loyalty Membership Type, which shows occupancy and Tariff Quoted revenue figures rolled up per Loyalty Membership Type for the selected period.

Overview

The Occupancy Report grouped by Loyalty Membership Type shows one row per Loyalty Membership Type (for example, Gold, Silver, Bronze) with the count of reservations, nights, occupancy percentage, and revenue contribution for the selected date range. Use this layout to compare the relative contribution of each loyalty tier and inform tier-design or marketing decisions.

Important! The Occupancy by Loyalty Membership Type layout calculates revenue from Tariff Quoted on each reservation, NOT from posted Operational Revenue transactions. Sundries, Periodic, and Repeat Charges are not included in the Gross / Nett Revenue figures on this layout. To see Operational Revenue (the full posted figure), use Occupancy By = Category or No Group.

Please Note! The Loyalty Membership Type option only appears when Loyalty Memberships are configured for the property. If you do not see this option in the Occupancy By dropdown, your property may not have Loyalty Memberships enabled or no membership types have been set up.

Use Cases

• Tier contribution analysis - the Loyalty Program owner runs the report for the previous quarter to see how each membership tier is performing relative to the others and to the unmembership baseline.
• Member acquisition ROI - compare the revenue and reservation count contributed by members vs guests with no loyalty membership to quantify the programme's revenue impact.
• Tier-design review - if a tier (for example, Silver) is consistently underrepresented relative to adjacent tiers, that may indicate the tier benefits, signup threshold, or marketing position needs adjustment.

How to Access

In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Statistics > Occupancy.

On the Report Options panel set Occupancy By to Loyalty Membership Type. Select Build.

Column Headers

The columns below appear on the report output when Occupancy By is set to Loyalty Membership Type. The Source / Calculation column references the concepts under Data Sources & Calculations in the main Occupancy Report article rather than repeating them here.

Please Note! The Occupancy Report's footer notice on this variant reads: "Revenue figures represent Tariff Quoted for all reservations. Sundries, Periodic and Repeat Charges are not included. Rooms marked as maintenance are not counted as available on this report unless you have chosen the option 'Include Maintenance in Avail for Occupancy' under Property Information. Day use reservations are not counted as used unless you have chosen the option 'Include Day Use in Used for Occupancy' under Property Information."
