Overview

The Occupancy Calculation Rule determines if the Category occupancy or Property occupancy is used in RMS.
Property Occupancy uses the total occupancy percentage across all Categories at the Property to determine if the criteria for occupancy-based rules on Dynamic Pricing and Restrictions have been met.

Category Occupancy only uses the occupancy percentage for the specific Category to determine if the criteria for occupancy-based rules on Dynamic Pricing and Restrictions have been met.

The occupancy option selected will determine how occupancy displays on the Availability Chart, Booking Chart and Rate Manager Chart.

Pencil Reservations are not included in occupancy percentage calculations. A Pencil Reservation only deducts from availability and will count toward occupancy once converted to a Reservation.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

1. Select Edit on an existing Property.
   
    
2. Navigate to the Options tab.
3. Select the Occupancy option.
4. Select Save/Exit.
