Overview
To streamline guest data entry, properties can configure the default country code for guest mobile numbers to automatically match the Property’s country code.
The ‘Mobile’ field on the Guest Profile includes a country code selector, which supports number recognition whether the mobile number is entered with or without a country code.
Default Behavior
By default, the country code for the mobile number is based on the Guest's Country of Residence.
If no country is selected, the system will default to the Property's country code.
Alternative Configuration
Properties may also choose to always default the mobile country code to the Property’s country, regardless of the Guest Profile’s Country of Residence.
This setup ensures consistent formatting and accurate recognition of mobile numbers, which is critical for the successful delivery of SMS messages via RMS.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

Click
Edit on an existing Property.
- Go to the Options tab.
- Select the checkbox labelled “Default new Guest mobile country prefix to properties on reservations.”
- Select Save/Exit.
