Set up BIG4 membership discounts

Setup membership discounts in RMS.

 

Overview

Discounts can be configured to apply exclusively to guests who are active members of the Property Membership group.

The Discount can also be enabled for availability through the RMS Booking Engine.

Validation dates can be applied to restrict the discount during specific periods, such as peak seasons, and Rate Types can be selected to customise their availability.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Accounting > Discounts.

  1. Select 'Add'.

  2. Enter the Discount Name.
  3. Select the General Ledger Account Code.
  4. Select the checkbox 'Only Available to Members'.
  5. Select the checkbox 'Use as RMS Online Promotion'.
  6. Select the Discount Type.
  7. Complete the Discount Options for the selected Discount Type.
    Each Discount Type will have different configuration Options.
  8. Select 'Save' (Do not Exit).

  9. Select the Discount Access.
  10. Select 'Apply'.

  11. Navigate to the 'Validation Options' tab.
  12. Select 'Add'.

  13. Select the checkbox 'Set Permanently' for both Date Options.
    If restricted dates are needed, do not select 'Set Permanently' and instead specify the required date range.
  14. Select the Rate Types.
  15. Select 'Save\Exit'.
    Repeat Steps for all required Membership Tiers.
