• Deals use the RMS OTA rate structure. 
• To enable BIG4 website promotions (e.g., Stay 4 Pay 3), set up a separate Tariff (Rate) Type in RMS using OTA rate structure. 
• Example: Derived Tariffs/Rates for a Stay 4 Pay 3 Deal. 
• Tariff and Rate wording are interchangeable.

Guide Example: BIG4 Summer Sale - Stay 4 Pay 3 Deal

This guide demonstrates an example process for creating a BIG4 Summer Sale – Stay 4 Pay 3 Deal in RMS. The steps outlined can be applied to set up similar promotional deals.

Part 1: Creating a Derived Rate/Tariff

Note: Steps are in a specific order for correct functionality.

1. Navigate to Charts > Tariff Manager
2. Click the Tariff/Rates icon and select Tariff Types
   
   
   
3. Go to the Derived Tariffs Tab and click Add
   
    
4. Derived From Standard Rate (master rate such as Standard)
5. Fill in Title of Deal in Derived Tariff Type Desc (e.g., "BIG4 Summer Sale")
6. Add Long Description (conditions shown on BIG4 website)
7. Tick Only Available to Members if applicable
8. Tick Set New Min/Max Nights
9. Select No Discount Allowed if excluding BIG4 discount (If Applicable)
   
    
10. Click Save – Include all options in the pop-up option
    
     
11. Set minimum nights to 4 and click Save (tick all days)
    
     
12. Adjustment Amount – Ensure all applicable categories have adjustments; mark others as 'Inactive'
    
     
13. Tariff Periods – Select the correct periods for bookable dates
    
     
14. Note down the Tariff ID for mapping (e.g. ID = 1138)
     

Part 2: Configure Channel Mapping for New Deal

1. Navigate to RMS Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management > BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia
2. Scroll down to Area/Rate Mapping – Click Add Category/Tariff Types
   
    
3. Add RMS Category ID and RMS Rate Type ID
   
    
4. Click Save/Exit
5. Select No Update until booking rules are complete. (This will be unchecked once we have setup all the booking rules to start sending data).
6. Select the relevant Category and Tariff Type from the lists, then click Save to complete channel Mapping
   
    

Part 3: RMS Rate Manager Control Panel for Booking Restrictions

Notes:

• Delayed Start Date: Set blanket stop sell for next 365 days against Deal Rate + BIG4 channel + all categories
• Exclude Weekends: Create a stop sell for Friday/Saturday nights
• Exclude Dates: Create a stop sell for excluded date ranges

1. Open the Control Panel from the Tariff Manager
   
    
2. Click Add
   
    
3. Scroll down and select Booking Window
   
    
4. Select Channel (BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia) and Date range
   
    
5. Select categories (All or specific)
6. Select Tariff Type (e.g., BIG4 Summer Sale)
7. Click Save/Exit to finish, and you should be able to see the restrictions you have just setup.
   
    

Part 4: Enable Channel Updates for New Deal

1. Navigate to RMS Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management > BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia
2. Go to Area/Rate Mapping – Uncheck No Update on the BIG4 Summer Sale
3. Click Save/Exit to apply the change
   

Part 5: Basecamp – Connecting the Deal Page

Below steps to be completed in BIG4.

1. Go to Deals page.
2. Add New Deal and enter all details.
3. In PMS Deal Date select the date the deal is applicable (ensure stop sells are not applied on the selected date).
4. Click Search.
5. Select the correct deal from the drop-down list.
6. Save and publish.
