The Guest Banned List in RMS enables properties to keep records of guests banned from staying at the property.
Overview
Keeping Guest Profile information up to date and regularly using the Guest Merge feature helps prevent duplicate guest profiles, ensuring that Banned List records remain accurate.
Tip! Ensure the 'Banned List' field is visible in Guest Details through Field Maintenance to activate this feature.
Please Note! RMS is highly configurable. Some Terminology, User Access & Permissions, Images, Labels, and Functions used in these articles may differ from your setup. CLICK HERE to find out more.
Example
When a guest on the Banned List makes a reservation and the contact details provided match an existing Guest Profile, their profile will display in red text in searches.
Utilising Smart Search fields during the new reservation process is recommended to streamline operations and ensure accurate identification of banned guests.
Guide
Open the Reservation in RMS.
- Toggle the Banned List field to 'Yes'.
Add a Guest Note detailing the reasons for being banned (Optional). - Select 'Save/Exit'.
Tip! Adding a note to the Guest Profile when placing someone on the Banned List is recommended, as it helps inform other Users at the property of the reason for the ban.
Reports
Once you’ve added guests to the Banned List, you can review and manage them using the Banned List Guests Report.
For more information on viewing your banned guests in a report, see Banned List Guests Report.
