Dwelling Year is a field used to record the year a guest's portable habitat was manufactured, available in Guest Details and Reservation Details.

Overview

Dwellings are portable habitats including caravans, RVs, campervans, motorhomes, and tents.

Dwelling Year allows the year of manufacture of a guest's dwelling to be recorded against their Guest Details or Reservation Details. Properties use this information to manage site compatibility, compliance requirements, or site allocation rules based on the age of the dwelling.

Dwelling Year is available in both Guest Details and Reservation Details. If saved against Guest Details, the year will copy across to the Reservation Details when a reservation is created. This can be overridden in Reservation Details without affecting the saved Guest profile.

The field can be shown, hidden, and repositioned using Field Maintenance.

Year Range

The Dwelling Year field offers a dropdown menu with a list of years to choose from. The years range from the current year to 100 years in the past.

Field Maintenance

The Dwelling Year field is controlled using Field Maintenance. This determines whether the field is visible in Guest Details and Reservation Details, and where it appears on those screens.

RMS Booking Engine

When the Dwelling Year field is enabled and marked as mandatory in Field Maintenance, it also appears on the guest details page during the online booking checkout process. Guests booking a Site Category Class online will be prompted to enter their dwelling year before completing the booking.
