Category Dwelling options define the Dwelling Lengths, Dwelling Types, and Dwelling Slides that can be accommodated within a rental category.

Overview

Dwelling fields are used to manage portable accommodations - such as caravans, campervans, RVs, and tents - booked into Categories classified as Site.

When a Dwelling Length and Dwelling Type are assigned to a Guest Profile, the system will display a warning if the selected rental Category is not configured to allow the specified Dwelling options.
User permissions can be configured via Security Profiles to allow overrides of this warning when necessary.

Dwelling Length and Dwelling Type are system-defined lists, while Dwelling Slide options are system-generated. If the Dwelling Slide field is set as mandatory in Field Maintenance, the system will include a 'None' option to accommodate entries where no slide is applicable.

On the RMS Booking Engine, the Dwelling Slide can be added as a search filter. 

If a Category available online has Dwelling Length and Type assigned, those fields will display automatically.

You can also configure Dwelling Length and Dwelling Type as mandatory search filters to help Guests find a compatible site easily.

Activation

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Property Information.

1. Select 'Edit' on an existing Property.
   
    
2. Navigate to the Options tab.
3. Select 'Set Dwelling options at the Category Level'.
4. Select 'Save/Exit'.
   

Category Dwelling Allocation

Once Category Dwelling options are enabled, assign all applicable Dwelling options to each category classified as a Site.

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Category/Area.

1. Click Edit on an existing Category.
   
    
2. Navigate to the Dwelling Options menu.
3. Highlight one or more Dwelling Lengths.
4. Click Allocate.
5. Highlight one or more Dwelling Types.
6. Click  Allocate.
   Select one or more Dwelling Slides, then click Allocate (Optional)
7. Select Save/Exit.
