Category dwelling options determine the dwelling length, dwelling type and dwelling slide that can be accommodated in the rental category. Dwelling fields can be used for managing portable accommodations booked onto categories with the category classification of 'Site' including caravans, campervans, RVs and tents.
When a dwelling length and dwelling type is applied to a guest profile, a warning will display if the rental category selected does not match the allocated dwelling options. Users can be granted access to override the warning in security profiles.
Dwelling length and dwelling type are user defineable lists whilst the dwelling slide options are system generated. The dwelling slide will include the option of 'None' if the field is set as mandatory for the guest details in field maintenance. The dwelling slide can be added as a search option on the RMS Internet Booking Engine (IBE) with the dwelling length and dwelling type displaying automatically if allocated to a category that is available online. The dwelling length and dwelling type can be set as a mandatory search options for the RMS Internet Booking Engine.

Dwelling Options Category Activation
- Proceed to Property Options > Property Information.
- Select the
'Edit' icon aligned with the property. - Navigate to the Options menu.
- Select the checkbox for 'Set Dwelling options at the Category Level.'
- Choose the 'Save & Exit' icon.

Important Information! Activating dwelling options on a Category level will remove the ability to assign dwelling options on an Area level. |
Category Dwelling Options Allocation
Once category dwelling options have been activated, you must allocate all accepted dwelling options to each category with a 'Site' classification.
- Go to Setup > Category/Area.
- Select the 'Edit' icon on a category.
- Navigate to the 'Dwelling Options' menu.
- Select one or multiple available Dwelling Lengths and choose the
'allocate' icon. - Select one or multiple available Dwelling Types and choose the 'allocate' icon.

Optional: Select one or multiple Dwelling Slides and choose the 'allocate' icon.
- Choose the 'Save/Exit' icon to complete the category dwelling allocation.
Repeat these steps for all 'Site' categories.
