Allow Users to Overbook a Property

Overview

The Security Profile a User has assigned to them determines which menu items they see and which functions they can perform whilst logged into RMS.

Additional Security Profile options related to Reservations will determine what interactions a User can have with the reservation they are viewing.

⚠ Important: Users with this Security Profile option enabled will be able to create more reservations than physical Areas available at the Property, even when the property is set as 'Do Not Overbook'.

★ Hint: After saving changes to Security Profiles, Users should log out of RMS and then log back in to ensure the database updates and reflects the modifications.

 

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Users > Security Profiles.

  1. Select an existing Security Profile and choose 'Edit'.

  2. Expand the 'Reservations' function menu.

  3. Select 'Yes' on the function 'Allow Property Overbooking'.
  4. Select Save/Exit.
