Information on Property Rate Rules in RMS.

Overview

The Security Profile a User has assigned to them determines which menu items they see and which functions they can perform whilst logged into RMS.

Additional Security Profile options related to Reservations will determine what interactions a User can have with the reservation they are viewing.

Enabling the Rate Type Property Level function in a Security Profile allows users to access and edit Rate Type Property Rules, including property-level setup for Rate Types and Derived Rate Types.

Derived Rate Adjustment and Rate Type Access

When a user's Security Profile has Rate Types set to Read Only, the full Derived Rate setup will be read-only for that user.

However, if the same Security Profile also has Property Rate Rules set to Full access, the user will be able to edit the Adjustment Amount on Derived Rate Types for properties included in their Security Profile. All other Derived Rate settings remain read-only.

The property dropdown in the Derived Rate Adjustment Amount will only display properties that the user has access to via their Security Profile.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Users > Security Profiles.

1. Select Edit on an existing Security Profile.
   
    
2. Expand the 'Setup' Function Menu.
   
    
3. Expand the 'Rates' Function Menu.
4. Select 'Allow' for the Function 'Rate Type Property Level'.
5. Select Save/Exit.
