User is unable to manually override the Base Rate on a reservation.
Overview
The Reservation Screen provides central management of individual reservations and their guests in RMS.
The Base Rate and Total Rate can be viewed and updated via the 'Account' column on the Reservation Screen.
Users will not be able to manually override the Base Rate if the Security Profile option 'Allow Override of Base Rate' has been set to 'No'.
The System Administrator can update the Security Profile access to allow Users to override the Base Rate on the Reservation Screen.

★ Tip: Use the 'Highlight' bar to quickly search for a Security Profile function.
★ Tip: The recommended method to override a rate on a reservation is to open the Total Rate/Tariff Breakdown screen and override the Base Rate per stay date. Overriding at the Base Rate element (rather than the Total Rate) preserves the inclusive package calculation, so future updates to the package setup continue to recalculate correctly on this reservation.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Users > User Information.
Verify the Security Profile associated with the User.
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Users > Security Profiles.
- Select 'Edit' on the required Security Profile.
- Expand the 'Reservation Screens' Function Menu.
- Select 'Allow' as 'Yes' on the 'Allow Override Base Rate' function.
- Select 'Save/Exit'.
