Overview
Clear Restriction is a feature available in the Control Panel that allows you to cancel a specific Restriction Type without deleting the original record.
This option is available for the following restriction types:
Close Rate, Closed to Arrival, Closed to Departure, Minimum Nights, Soft Close and Stop Sell.
You can also set an Occupancy Benchmark, which will only cancel the selected restriction if the property's occupancy meets or exceeds the specified value. The property's Occupancy Calculation Rule will be used to determine this percentage.
If multiple records exist for the same date and restriction type, RMS will apply the most recent record.
Clearing a Restriction
- Navigate to Charts > Rate Manager in RMS.

Click the
Control Panel icon.

Select the Add icon to create a new restriction.

Set the Restriction Type to Clear Restriction Type.
- Choose the relevant Property.
- Select a Date Range, or check the Set Permanently box if the restriction should apply indefinitely.
- (Optional) Check the boxes for specific Days of the Week if the restriction should only apply on certain days.
- (Optional) Select the + Add icon to add Multiple Date Ranges.

(Optional) Set an Occupancy Benchmark to only cancel the selected Restriction Type if the Occupancy is at the entered value.
- Please note: Occupancy-based restrictions use your existing occupancy configuration. For more details, see Occupancy Calculation Rule.
- Select the checkbox for a Connected Channel.
- Choose the checkbox for a Category.
- Select the checkbox for a Rate Type.

Click Save/Exit to apply the Clear Restriction.
⚠ Important: If multiple records exist for the same date and restriction type, RMS will apply the most recent record.
