Create Stop Sell restrictions in the Control Panel to close availability by channel, category, and rate type when needed.

Overview

Use Stop Sell in the Control Panel to quickly close availability for specific categories and rate types across your connected channels. You can target individual channels or close all channels (including House Use), and optionally base the restriction on an occupancy benchmark using your property’s Occupancy Calculation Rule.

Key information

Stop Sell in the Control Panel:

• Sets availability to 0 for the selected Category and Rate Type, closing inventory on the chosen channels (including House Use).

• Can be applied to a specific Connected Channel, Category, or Rate Type.

• Is different from Close Rate, which only prevents the use of the selected Rate Type and does not close Category availability for House Use reservations.

When using occupancy:

• You can set an Occupancy benchmark, so Stop Sell only applies once occupancy reaches that level.

• If multiple restrictions exist for the same date and Restriction Type, RMS uses the newest record.

★ Tip: Select the  icon to mark as a favourite, for faster access later.

Guide

1. Navigate to Charts > Rate Manager.
2. Select the Control Panel icon.
   
    
3. Select the Add icon.
   
    
4. Select the Restriction Type as Stop Sell.
   
    
5. Select a Property.
6. Select a Date Range or select the checkbox Set Permanently.
   • Select the Add + icon to add Multiple Date Ranges
7. (Optional) Select the checkboxes for the Days of the Week the restriction should apply.
8. (Optional) Enter an Occupancy benchmark.
   • Please Note: Occupancy-based restrictions use your existing occupancy configuration. For more details, see Occupancy Calculation Rule.
9. Select the checkbox for a Connected Channel.
10. Select the checkbox for a Category.
    
    
     
11. Select the checkbox for a Rate Type.
12. Click Save/Exit.
