Set up a time to release the Online Inventory back to the House.
Overview
This function enables a cut-off time to be specified for closing online inventory to same-day arrivals. Not all properties have 24-hour reception and may require online inventory to be closed to same-day arrivals after (or slightly before) reception closes.
Reservations can still be made online, arriving at tomorrow's arrival time at the earliest.
This function allows you to remove inventory from the RMS Booking Engine and Online Channels.
When the release back time is reached, RMS generates a stop sell and distributes it to all connected online booking channels, closing same-day arrival availability automatically.
Properties can choose to set up a default release back time, which applies the selected time to all seven days of the week.
Alternatively, you can configure a daily release back time, enabling you to set a different time for each day of the week.
Guide
Set Default time
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.
- Select the Property (if applicable).
- Navigate to the Page Settings tab.
- Select the checkbox Use Release Back Today.
- Select Default.
- Select the Release Back Time.
- Select Save/Exit.
Set Daily time
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.
- Select the Property (if applicable).
- Navigate to the Page Settings tab.
- Select the checkbox Use Release Back Today.
- Select Daily.
- Select the Daily Release Back Time.
