How to apply a Close Rate restriction for House Use in RMS.

Overview

Close Rate prevents the use of the selected Rate Type for House Use reservations. 

Close Rate only changes the availability of the selected Rate Type.

Close Rate can only be used for House Use and will not apply to connected online channels.

Stop Sell sets availability to '0' for the Category and Rate Type selected and can be used to close inventory for any connected channel, including House Use.

An Occupancy benchmark can be set to only close the Rate Type if the Occupancy is at the entered value. 

The Occupancy Calculation Rule for the property will be used to determine the occupancy.

RMS will use the newest record when more than one exists for the same date and Restriction Type.

★ Hint: Select the icon to set a Restriction Type as a favourite.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Charts > Rate Manager.

1. Select 'Control Panel'.
   
    
2. Select 'Add'.
   
    
3. Select the Restriction Type as 'Close Rate'.
4. Select 'Next'.
   
    
5. Select a Property.
6. Select a Date Range or select the checkbox 'Set Permanently'.
   (Select the 'Add' icon to add Multiple Date Ranges) (Optional).
   Select the checkbox for Days of the Week (Optional).
   Enter an Occupancy benchmark (Optional).
   Please Note: Occupancy-based restrictions use your existing occupancy configuration. For more details, see Occupancy Calculation Rule.
7. Select the checkbox for the Channel 'House Use'.
8. Select 'Next'.
   
    
9. Select the checkbox for a Category.
10. Select 'Next'.
    
     
11. Select the checkbox for a Rate Type.
12. Select 'Save/Exit'.
