Information on options available in the Page Settings tab of Online Options in RMS.

Overview

The Online Options Page Settings offer configuration options to manage various aspects of online functionality. 

These settings include options for displaying availability, preventing same day arrivals for dirty areas, booking preferences, inventory controls, rate visibility, and guest information fields. 

They ensure a tailored and efficient online booking experience. 

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.

Navigate to the 'Page Settings' tab.

General Booking Engine Page Options

Allow Group Reservation

Select to allow Group Reservations, and set the Max No of Areas allowed.

Use Release Back Today

Allows for a time to be set for online inventory to be closed for same day arrivals.

Allowable Arrival Times

Set the Allowable Arrival Times. If not set, the default arrival time to midnight will be allowed.

Hold Back Dirty Areas

Areas that have a status of Dirty will not be bookable for same day arrival.

Category setup must be set as 'Book by Category'.

The Housekeeping module must be enabled in order to use this feature.

Show Promotion Code

Activate to display the 'Promo Code' field on the RMS Booking Engine.

 

Dwelling Slide \ Type \ Length

Options to display or make mandatory, Dwelling options.

Additionals to Show\Hide Online

Min Age to make a Booking

If 0, there will be no age restriction.

Show Children \ Infants

Displays a Children \ Infant field on the Booking Engine for guests to specify the number of

Children \ Infants, with a Max age guide shown.

Show Additional Tariff 1-7.

Customisable fields to allow for additional charges e.g Pets.

Rate, Category & Availability View Options

Available Rate View

Option to Show\Hide unavailable Rate Types.

Available Category View

Option to Show\Hide unavailable Categories.

Rate View

7 or 12 night grid display offers additional options for Rate Type descriptions to display.

Total Rate does not display the nightly rate breakdown.

Map Only Display (must have an Interactive Online map).

Rate Options

Select to display Rate Type or Restriction description, or both.

Only available if using the Rate View  - 7 or 12 night Grid Display.

Rate Value View

Select how to display the rates on the RMS Booking Engine.

Rate Display

Choose if the rate is visible on the Booking Engine, or if the guest will be required to click 'View' to see it.

Rates Display Open is only available if using Rate View - 7 or 12 night Grid Display.

Availability Only

Booking Engine will show Availability only, and guest cannot complete online booking.

Default to Map View

Defaults to map view after the date search.

Must have an Interactive Online Map.

Show Sold as Call

Text visible when displaying unavailable Areas.

No Availability Custom Message

Custom message will display when search dates have no availability.

Only available if Available Rate View = Hide Unavailable Rate, and Available Category View = Hide Unavailable Category.

Use Availability Calendar

Provides an option to view the Availability calendar, which includes restrictions.
