Overview
The Primary System Administrator is an important contact for RMS, as this will be the person that we communicate with to:
- Ensure Contacts are Current and Up to Date
- Receive Critical system notifications and action these
- Receive environmental updates
- Receive version release notifications
There are multiple ways to identify who your Primary System Administrator is.
The methods outlined in this article require access to various functions, which will depend on your assigned Security Profile.
Try each of these options to see which one works for you.
Contacts
The first place to check is "Contacts".
In RMS, start by:

Searching for Contacts in the Side Menu of RMS
or - In the Side Menu of RMS, go to Setup > Property Options > Contacts.
Here, you will find:
- The Primary System Administrator
- Any Additional System Administrator(s)
- Additional System Administrators are General Contacts with the Contact Type of System Administrator.
Manager / User ID No.1
If you don't have access to Contacts, you may be able to find out who does.
The Username with the User ID of "1" has access to Contacts.
By default, User ID 1 has the Username of "Manager", but this can be changed.
To find out who this is:

Searching for User Information in the Side Menu of RMS
or - In the Side Menu of RMS, go to Setup > Users > User information.
Here you can:
- Click on the Column Header titled "Id" to sort the Users in Numerical ID order
- ID No.1 is the Default Login/System Profile and has access to Contacts.
- The Profile Name will be (System Profile)
If this has been updated with an individual's details, contact them regarding the System Administrator.
Security Profiles
If you are unsuccessful with the previous options, ask a colleague who may have a different or higher level of access than you to try the above methods using their RMS Login.
It is the Security Profile assigned to your User Information that determines whether you do or do not have access.
