The On Hold report lists reservations that currently have a Hold placed on them, showing the Area, the Hold dates, and how many days each Guest has been off site.
Overview
The On Hold report lists reservations that currently have a Hold placed on them. A Hold marks the dates a Guest is off site during a booking, for example a worker on a Fly In, Fly Out (FIFO) roster who returns home at weekends, or a student in Student Accommodation who leaves campus during a break. The reservation keeps the Area assigned to the Guest for the whole booking; the Hold only records the nights the Guest is away.
For each reservation on Hold, the report shows the Guest name, the Company and Sub Contractor recorded against the reservation, the Area and Category, the Hold Commences and Date Returning dates, the number of days on Hold, and any notes recorded against the Hold.
Use Cases
- Track Guests off site - Operations staff run the report to see which reservations currently have a Guest off site on Hold, and when each is due to return.
- Workforce and FIFO rostering - Properties running Workforce Accommodation or FIFO rosters use the report to confirm which Guests are away and when they are expected back on site.
- Billing review - Accounts staff check the Hold dates against the Rate Type charged for the Hold period to confirm charges match the recorded dates.

Hold status and Hold period
A Hold does not cancel or shorten the reservation. It marks the Hold Commences and Date Returning dates as time the Guest is off site, and RMS adjusts Housekeeping and charges accordingly. Holds are added on the Hold tab on the reservation, and appear on the In/Out Movements Screen and the Tick Sheet Report while active. The On Hold report lists the reservations whose Hold is current as at the report run.
