How to Check-In a Reservation using the In/Out Movements screen in RMS.
Overview
The In/Out Movements Screen is a central location for the management of reservations, arrivals, departures, and currently, In-House.
Contextual actions, including Check-in and Check-out, become available when on the corresponding view.
The Column Display Order can be customised per User and will be used when printing the In/Out Movements Report using the First Six Columns option.
Each Filter View displays the total number of reservations in a colour-coded bubble, making it easy to monitor and prioritise activity.
Use the Expected Arrivals filter to view all reservations scheduled to arrive today that have not yet been checked in. This allows front desk staff to:
Prepare for incoming guests
Streamline check-in procedures
Monitor outstanding arrivals in real time
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reservations > In/Out Movements.
- Navigate to the Expected Arrivals filter.
- Select the Reservation/s.
- Select Check In.
- Select Yes to confirm the check-in.
Usage Tips
Booking by Category:
When the 'Use Booking by Category' setting is enabled, specific areas (e.g., rooms) are not automatically assigned to reservations until the guest arrives.
Best Practice: Assign areas to reservations before the guest's arrival to streamline the check-in process and avoid delays.Managing Group or Master Reservations:
To check in multiple reservations at once, use the In/Out Movements screen for a more efficient workflow.
