Reservation Types

Reservation Types are a user-definable list used to categorize different types of reservations within RMS.

Overview

Each Reservation Type can be further refined by assigning multiple Sub-Reservation Types, providing a deeper level of classification.

To improve visual clarity, Reservation Types can also be assigned colors, which are displayed on the Booking Chart for quick identification.

The Marketing Report can be grouped by Reservation Type and/or Sub-Reservation Type, allowing you to view Operational Revenue and performance metrics based on your custom reservation categories.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Lookup Tables > Reservation Type.

Select 'Add'.
Enter the Reservation Type Description.
(Optional) Enter the Estimated Revenue Per Adult.
(Optional) Select a Colour.
(Optional) Select the checkbox 'Show in RMS Online'.
Select 'Save'.
(Optional) Setup Sub Reservation Types.
Select 'Add'.
Enter the Sub Reservation Type.
Select Save/Exit.
