Guidance on restricting Guests from holding overlapping reservations in RMS.
Overview
The option "Do not allow guests to overlap reservations across the enterprise" will prevent a guest from having multiple reservations across a single or multiple properties at the same time.
This may be useful if there are membership restrictions that allow a guest only to have one reservation at a time.
There is also the ability to exclude a specific Category from this rule. An example where this might be used is where there are spaces like Car Parking or Storage that the guest has already booked, and you need to allow the guest to have a casual reservation also.
The Guest Profile linked to a Master Reservation will not be subject to this restriction, so it can appear on both the Master and a sibling reservation.
Users can override this restriction if permitted by their Security Profile.
