In most cases, the Booking Chart not displaying text or colour as expected is caused by one of the following:

• Text View changed from Surname
  Guest surnames do not display because Text View is set to another field (for example, Reservation Number or Company).

• Colour View changed from Reservation Status
  Reservation colours do not match Reservation Status because Colour View is set to another attribute (for example, Category or Rate Type).

How Text View and Colour View Affect the Booking Chart

Text View

The Text View setting controls which text field is displayed on each reservation block on the Booking Chart.

• By default, Text View is set to Surname.

• If Text View is changed to another option (for example, Reservation Number or Company), you will no longer see guest surnames on the Booking Chart.
  

   

Colour View

The Colour View setting controls which attribute determines the colour used for reservations on the Booking Chart.

• By default, Colour View is set to Reservation Status.

• If Colour View is changed to another option (for example, Rate Type or Category), reservation colours will no longer indicate Reservation Status, and will instead reflect the chosen attribute.

To confirm or change how text and colours display:

1. Open the Booking Chart for the relevant property and date range.

2. Open the View Options menu on the Booking Chart.

Booking Chart Not Displaying Guest Surnames

Cause: Text View Set to a Different Field

If guest surnames are not displaying on the Booking Chart, it is usually because Text View is set to a field other than Surname.

Resolution: Set Text View to Surname

1. In View Options, locate the Text View setting.

2. Select Surname as the Text View option.

3. Apply or save the changes.

4. Return to the Booking Chart and confirm that guests' surnames now display on each reservation block as expected.

    

Alternative Text View Options

If you choose a different Text View option (for example, Reservation Number or Company):

• The Booking Chart will display that field instead of the surname.

• Guest surnames will not be shown when Text View is set to any option other than Surname.

Booking Chart Not Displaying Expected Colours

Cause: Colour View Set to a Different Attribute

If reservation colours on the Booking Chart do not match your usual Reservation Status colours, it is usually because Colour View is set to an attribute other than Reservation Status.

Resolution: Set Colour View to Reservation Status

1. In View Options, locate the Colour View setting.

2. Select Reservation Status as the Colour View option.

3. Apply or save the changes.

4. Return to the Booking Chart and confirm that reservation colours now match the Reservation Status.

    

Alternative Colour View Options

If you choose a different Colour View option (for example, Category or Rate Type):

• Reservation colours will represent the selected attribute instead of Reservation Status.

• This is expected behaviour and can be used to visually group reservations by other criteria.
