This article explains how to customise the Data Window on the Booking Chart in RMS.

Overview

The Data Window is a pop-up bubble on the Booking Chart that displays additional information when you hover over a Reservation or Area.

The Booking Chart is a visual representation of all Reservations with an Area allocated at the selected Property for the viewed date range. Users can Create, Edit, Move, Check-in, Check-out or Park Reservations across large date ranges in a single view.

Each User can set the Data Window to be on or off during a login session, and exiting the Booking Chart will save the preference for the next visit. Field customisation for the Data Window is an individual User preference determined in the Booking Chart options.

The Data Window can be customised to display a variety of information for the Guest, Reservation, and Account.

The 'Data Window' icon will display as when enabled.

Prerequisites

• You must have access to the Booking Chart in RMS.
• Your User setup must have permission to access Booking Chart options. If you cannot see the Options icon, contact your system administrator to check your User Access and Permissions.

Customising the Booking Chart Data Window

In the side menu of RMS, go to Charts > Booking Chart.

1. Select the 'Options' icon.
   
    
2. Navigate to the 'Data Window' tab.
3. Select the checkbox for each Visible Field you want to display in the Data Window.
   (Optional) Reposition the Visible Fields. Select a Visible Field. Select the Up or Down buttons to move it to the desired position.
4. Select Save/Exit.
   

Troubleshooting

Issue	Solution
The Data Window does not appear when hovering over a reservation.	Ensure the Data Window is enabled by selecting the 'Data Window' icon in the Booking Chart toolbar. The icon should appear active when the feature is on.
The Data Window appears but does not show the fields you expect.	Open Options > Data Window tab and verify that the desired fields have their checkboxes selected. Select Save/Exit to apply any changes.
You cannot see the Options icon on the Booking Chart.	Your User account may not have sufficient permissions. Contact your system administrator to review your User Access and Permissions.
Changes to the Data Window are not saved after logging out.	Ensure you select Save/Exit after making changes. The Data Window preference is saved per User when exiting the Booking Chart.
