How to add Visit Purposes in RMS.
Overview
Visit Purpose is a field that can be activated to record the motivation for the guest's stay.
The selection made will be stored on the Guest Profile and will automatically carry over to future reservations, as long as the same guest profile is used.
Visit Purpose is a mandatory requirement for properties operating in the UAE, as part of compliance with government regulations for statutory reporting.
The Visit Purpose field is available for use by properties globally; however, RMS currently does not generate any standard reports that include data from this field.
By using Field Maintenance to activate the Visit Purpose field, it can then be made available on the Reservation screen, Guest Portal and Corporate Portal.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Lookup Tables > Visit Purpose.
- Select Add.
- Enter the Description.
- Enter the Short Description.
Enter the Code (Optional). - Select 'Save\Exit'.
