Rate Override modifies the Base Rate Amount on the Rate Table for the selected Rate Type.
Overview
Rate Override modifies the Base Rate Amount on the Rate Table for the selected Rate Type.
The overridden value is used as the base prior to calculating any Additionals, Discounts, Packages, Commissions, or Taxes, and is applied during the total rate calculation.
When a Rate Override is active:
- The system ignores the Rate Setup tab, including any Dynamic Pricing configurations.
- Derived Rate Adjustments, as well as any Rate Adjustments entered via the Control Panel or Rate Manager chart, are bypassed.
- Additions and Packages defined in the Rate Table remain active and are included in the final rate.
An Occupancy Benchmark can be specified to conditionally apply the override. The property's configured Occupancy Calculation Rule is used to determine occupancy levels.
★ Tip: In cases where multiple Rate Overrides exist for the same date and Restriction Type, RMS applies the most recently created record.
