Fallback Category & Rate Type Mapping

Overview

The Default Channel Configuration ensures that reservations, which might otherwise fail due to incorrect mapping, are successfully delivered into RMS using the selected Default Category & Rate Type.

Default Channel Configuration

The selected Category & Rate Type will be used for any reservation that would otherwise fail to deliver into RMS due to incomplete mapping.

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options.

  1. Navigate to the 'Category Setup' menu.
  2. Select a Default Category.
  3. Select a Default Rate Type.
  4. Select Save/Exit.

âš  Important: Reservations delivered to the designated Default Category and Rate Type will need to be manually reassigned to the correct Category and Rate Type by an RMS user.
