The Message Centre is the central area in RMS for two-way messaging, portal conversations, and system notifications.

The Message Centre supports two-way SMS communication and direct messaging with both staff and guests through the available portals. It also delivers critical notifications, guest declarations, and scheduled report alerts.
All notifications and critical alerts will remain marked as unread until the user selects "Acknowledge" within the Message Centre.

The Message Centre includes the following types of messages and notifications:
| Message Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Online | Online Critical Notifications where a Quote Reservation has been received or a mapping error has been identified with an existing Channel Management connection. |
| SMS | Send and receive SMS in RMS using the 2-Way SMS Module. |
| Guest Portal | Send and receive direct messages with guests using the Guest Portal. |
| Housekeeper | Send and receive direct messages with housekeepers using the Staff Portal. |
| Corporate | Send and receive direct messages with Companies or Travel Agents using the Corporate Portal. |
| Staff | Send and receive direct messages with other RMS users at the property. |
| Scheduler | Receive notifications requiring user attention for Scheduled Reports in RMS. |
✎ Please Note: System notifications generated by the Guest Portal are delivered to the Primary System Administrator in the Message Centre. They are no longer sent by email.

Guide
- Select the Message Centre icon.
- Select the Message Type.
- Select the Add Message icon.
- Select a Search By option.
- Enter the Search Criteria and select Search.
- Select the Guest.
- Select Proceed.
8. Enter the Message.
9. Select Send Message.
★ Tip: Replies are displayed directly in the Message Centre. To send an additional message to a guest, simply select the conversation and enter your response.
For properties with the 2-Way SMS module enabled, the SMS tab within the Message Centre allows users to view and reply to guest messages seamlessly.
