How to prepare rates and connect RMS to G’Day Parks for seamless channel management.
Overview
The RMS Channel Manager enables connections to a variety of Online Travel Agents, Booking Engines, Distributors, and Global Distribution Systems.
The mapping of a Category and Rate combination determines the prices and inventory available to the channel.
Connection Preparation
Before connecting to G'Day Parks, please review your current rate setup to ensure it meets the following criteria:
Rate Setup
To ensure a successful connection and accurate rate uploads to G’Day Parks, follow these steps:
Person Base
Set a Consistent Person Base Across All Rate Periods
- Every rate table (rate plan) for a given room must have the same person base throughout the entire availability period.

- Correct: Person base = 2 across all seasons, with additional rates configured.
- Incorrect: Low season person base = 4, High season person base = 2

Best Practice
Configure all rate tables (rate plan) with a person base of 2. This aligns with G’Day’s promotional campaigns and maximises value for your property.
- Ensure additional guest charges (adults, children, infants) are correctly set up.
- Use an all-year-round rate period with stop sells for unavailable dates.
- This guarantees consistency and prevents gaps in availability.
Rate Period
- Rates should always be valid for 365 Days.
- It is recommended to use the all-year-round rate period, and place stop sells for dates when it is not selling.
- This will ensure G'Day Parks has a consistent person base across the entire period.
Rate Updates
- Occupancy-based pricing sent for each occupant will start from 1 pax, up to the maximum occupancy set against the category.
Additional Adults
- The additional adult charges are accounted for in the occupancy-based pricing.

Additional Child
- Only the first additional child charge will be sent to G’Day Parks.
- Please Refer to the Rate Setup.
Additional Infant
- Only the first additional infant charge will be sent to G’Day Parks.
- Please Refer to the Rate Setup.
Connecting to G'Day Parks
- Navigate to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management.
- Select the 'Unconnected' view.
- Highlight G’Day Parks.
- Select the 'Connect' button.
- Enter the Hotel Code (this is the ID G’Day Parks uses to identify properties, provided by G’Day Parks).
- Select the Availability, Rates, and Inventory options.
- Setup Reservation Settings (Optional).
- Enter the Travel Agent Information (Optional).
- Setup a Travel Agent Commission (Optional).
- Select the 'Connect to Retrieve Categories' button.
- Choose the RMS Category and Rate Type plan from the dropdown for each combination.
- Select 'Save/Exit'.
Rate Table Changes
When making changes to the Person Base or Additional Guests setup in an existing rate table, it is essential to perform a manual OTA (Online Travel Agent) resync.
This ensures updates reflect correctly and eliminates discrepancies that could impact pricing.
