This article describes the Gov Invoice Archive Export, which generates a certified archive file of invoice and financial data for French NF525 fiscal compliance.
Overview
The Gov Invoice Archive Export produces a signed ZIP archive containing invoice, payment, and audit data in the XML format required by the French NF525 fiscal certification standard.
Properties operating in France use this export to meet their legal obligation to archive point-of-sale and billing records in a certified, tamper-evident format.
The archive can cover a single day, a calendar month, or a full financial year.
Use Cases
- Daily fiscal archiving - Run the Day Archive export at the end of each trading day to generate a certified record of all invoices, payments, and transactions for that date.
- Month-end compliance - Run the Month Archive export at the end of each calendar month to produce a consolidated certified archive for that period.
- Annual financial year archive - Run the Financial Year Archive export at the end of the financial year to generate a full-year certified archive for long-term record retention.
- Audit and inspection support - Provide the signed archive files to tax authorities or auditors as evidence of compliant and tamper-evident record keeping under NF525.
How to Access
In the side menu of RMS, go to Utilities > Gov Invoice Archive Export.
Report Options
Use the options below to set the date and archive period to export.

Export Output
Clicking Export File downloads a ZIP archive. The archive is named using the property abbreviation, archive type, and date — for example, Archive_BH_Day_28-Jun-2026.zip.
The ZIP contains two files:
- Archive_*.xml - the invoice archive data in NF525 XML format. The file includes grand total period data, individual invoice and statement records, payment records, audit trail entries, receipt reprints, and duplicate records for the selected period.
- Signature_*.txt - a digital signature for the archive XML, used to verify that the file has not been tampered with after generation. This signature is required by the NF525 standard.
Store both files together. The signature file is invalid without the matching XML file and vice versa. Do not modify either file after downloading.
About NF525
NF525 is a French certification standard that requires point-of-sale and billing software to produce tamper-evident records of all financial transactions. The Gov Invoice Archive Export generates archives that comply with this standard.
