This article describes the Facility Usage and Revenue report, which shows the bookings, hours and income for each Facility area over a selected period.
Overview
The Facility Usage and Revenue report lists, for a selected date range, how heavily each Facility area was used and the income it generated.
For every Area it shows the guests booked (pax), the number of reservations, the total hours booked, and the gross income, grouped by Facility Category.
Properties that hire out spaces such as function rooms, conference rooms, halls, or event spaces use it to see which spaces are the busiest and which earn the most.
Use Cases
- Find the top-earning spaces - use Area Summary to see income per Facility area and identify the best performers.
- Compare Facility Categories - use Category Summary to see the totals for each Category side by side.
- Measure utilisation - use the Hours and No Res columns to see how heavily each space is booked over a period.
How to Access
Go to Reports > Management > Financial > Facility Usage and Revenue.
Report Options
The report options control the period, which Facility Categories are included, and the level of detail shown.

Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reports > Management > Financial > Facility Usage and Revenue.
- Select the Date Range.
- Select the Category.
- Select the Report Option.
- Select Build.
Column Headers
The columns below appear on the report output. The first column is headed Area in Area Summary and Category in Category Summary (see Data Sources & Calculations).

Data Sources & Calculations
Area Summary and Category Summary
The Report Option sets how the results are grouped:
- Area Summary lists each Facility area as its own row, grouped under its Facility Category. Each Category shows a subtotal, and the report ends with a Grand Total.
- Category Summary rolls the figures up to one row per Facility Category, followed by a Grand Total. The first column is headed Category instead of Area.
The Pax, No Res, Hours, and Gross Income figures are the same totals in both views - only the level of grouping changes.
