Print the Electricity Consumption Report to list meter readings, electricity used and charges for each Area with an active electricity meter.
Overview
The Electricity Consumption Report is produced from the Meter Processing screen for electricity meters. It lists the previous and current meter readings, the units used and the charged amount for each Area with an active electricity meter, based on the applied filters on the Reading List.
Properties typically use this report to review electricity consumption for the period, reconcile meter reads before they are processed to reservation accounts, and provide guests or Owners with a summary of their electricity usage. The output is the same underlying data shown on the Reading List, formatted for printing or saving as a PDF.
Charges on the report are calculated from the Meter Rates attached to each Area's electricity meter. Units of measure (for example, kWh) are determined by the electricity meter configuration under Setup > Meters > Electricity.
Report Columns
The Electricity Consumption Report includes the following columns, matching the on-screen Reading List.

| Area | Area number the electricity meter is attached to. |
| Given | Primary guest's given name on the in-house or most recent reservation attached to the Area. |
| Primary guest's email address. | |
| Acc No | Account Number the electricity meter charge will be posted against. |
| Previous Read Date | Date of the previous meter reading used as the starting point for the period. |
| Current Read Date | Date of the current meter reading used as the ending point for the period. |
| Previous Read | Meter units recorded at the previous read. The unit of measure is determined by the electricity meter configuration. |
| Current Read | Meter units recorded at the current read. |
| Multiplier | Multiplier configured on the meter, applied to the difference between Previous Read and Current Read to calculate the Used value. |
| Used | Electricity consumed between the previous and current reads, calculated as (Current Read minus Previous Read) multiplied by Multiplier. |
| Amount | Total charge for the electricity used in the period, calculated from the Meter Rate attached to the Area's electricity meter. |
Information
• One row is produced for each Area with an active electricity meter that matches the applied filters.
• The View selector on the Reading List controls which reservations are included. Setting View to Show In House limits the list to Areas with a current in-house reservation. Setting View to Show All Areas lists every Area with an active electricity meter, regardless of reservation status.
• Categories, Charge Types and Advanced Filters further refine the Reading List and the resulting report.
• The unit of measure shown on the report is set by the electricity meter configuration in Setup > Meters > Electricity and can differ between properties.
• If no Meter Rate is attached to an Area's electricity meter, the Amount column will be blank.
Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Utilities > Meter Processing > Electricity.
- Set the View to Show In House or Show All Areas.
- Adjust the Categories and Charge Types filters to include only the Areas required (optional).
- Expand Advanced Filters to refine the list further (optional).
- Select the Print Options icon in the top-right toolbar.
- Select Print Consumption Report.
