Overview

Utility Meters allow users to record meter readings and apply utility charges to an Area. The Previous Read Date for a meter determines the billing period when performing a Meter Read. This article outlines the steps for setting the Previous Read Date for a meter in RMS.

Previous Meter Read Date Configuration

1. Go to Setup > Meters > Utility Type.
2. Select the Property.
3. Navigate to the Reading Sequence section.
4. Highlight an Area.
5. Select 'Edit'.

1. Confirm or Update the Last Reading.
2. Confirm the Meter Rate Assignment.
3. Select the Previous Read Date.
4. Save/Exit.

The Previous Read Date will display on the Meter Processing utility, Reservation Account and Utility Statements.
