Category & Area Display Order

How to change the Display Order for Categories and Areas (AKA Room Types and Rooms).

 

Overview

By default, RMS will sort Categories and Areas alphanumerical.

To improve accessibility and streamline operations, Users may want to reorganise Categories and Areas (Room Types / Rooms) based on how frequently they’re used or their physical location on the Property.

✎ Please Note: The selected display order will be used on the Booking Chart, Rate Manager Chart and Category drop down menu on the Reservation and Quick Quote.

Guide

In the RMS side menu, go to Setup > Category/Area. (Room Type/Room) 

  1. Select the 'Display Order' icon.

  2. Select a Category (Room Type).
  3. Select the Up or Down arrow.
  4. Select Save/Exit.
    Repeat the steps for all Categories.

★ Tip: The Area (Room) order can also be changed here.
