Set up Category Times for reservations

Overview

Category Times override the Default Times for Placing Reservations for a Category.

Category Times allows a System Administrator to define a Time Increment, which sets the default increment by which a reservation can be increased or decreased for in RMS or on the RMS Booking Engine.

Quick Quote will use the Default Times for Placing Reservations and not the Category Times.
The selected 'Default Times for Placing Reservations' will be used for all Reservations across all Properties.

✎ Please note: Changes made to the existing Default Times will only apply to Reservations created  after the changes are saved.

Guide

In the side menu of RMS, go to Setup > Category/Area.

  1. Select Edit on an existing Category.

  2. Navigate to the Times tab.
  3. Select a Default Arrival Time and Default Departure Time.
    Select a Time Increment (Optional).
  4. Select Save/Exit.
