Requirements can be added either directly to a reservation or as standalone actionable items in the To Do Chart. The following steps outline how to add a Monitored Requirement to a specific reservation.
Overview
A Requirement is an additional item or service that can be added to a guest’s reservation, with the option to apply a fee using a Sundry Charge.
Monitored Requirements can be viewed and managed from the To Do Chart and are intended for tasks that need to be tracked for completion.
A Requirement can be designated as a Monitored Requirement if the From and To dates fall on the same day.
In the Monitored Requirements view of the To Do Chart, Users can mark tasks as Completed. When a Monitored Requirement is completed, the system records the user who marked it as such.
Additionally, Monitored Requirements can also be marked as Completed directly from the reservation.
Visual Guide
In the side menu of RMS, go to Reservations > Reservation Search.
- Use the Search function to locate the reservation where the Requirement will be added.

Open the Reservation.
- Navigate to the Requirements menu.

Select Add Requirement.
- Choose the Requirement.
- Enter a Custom Description (optional).
- Designate the From Date.
- Pick the To Date.
- Select a Sundry Charge & Fee Type (optional).
- Enter the Unit Price.
- Enable the Monitor This Requirement checkbox.

Save/Exit.
Within the To Do Chart, this Requirement will appear in the list of Monitored Requirements, where it can be marked as Completed.
