Â
Sending a One-Time Historical Update to STR (Manual CSV)
In some cases, STR may request a one-time historical data file for past months (for example, when you first enable the interface and STR wants historical performance loaded into their system).
Use the Occupancy report in RMS to generate this historical CSV and email it to STR.
Â
Step 1: Set the Date Range
When running the Occupancy Report
-
In Reservation Between, select either:
Last Month, or
A specific historical date range (for example, 1st January to 31st January).
-
Ensure:
Category: all required categories are selected (typically All).
Occupancy by: Category.
Area Stats: On.
Â
Step 2: Configure Report Options
In the More Options section of the Occupancy Report:
Set Group 1 to Property.
Tick Daily breakdown.
Ensure all other parameters remain unticked.
Â
Step 3: Build and Export to CSV
Select Build to generate the Occupancy Report.
Â-
When the report opens on-screen:
Use the report toolbar to export the report as CSV.
Â
Step 4 – Email the File to STR
Save the exported CSV file and name it clearly, for example: Jan2025.csv or 2025-01.csv.
Repeat the same process for each additional month that STR has requested.
Attach all CSV files to a new email and send to:
data_daily@str.com
STR uses these one-time historical CSV files to backfill their system. Ongoing daily data will continue to be provided automatically via the STR Global interface once activated.
Â
When to Use the Manual One-Time Historical Update
Use the manual one-time historical CSV process when:
STR explicitly requests historical data for past months, and/or
You are newly activating STR Global, and STR wants historical data to align their reporting with your RMS history.
